President Trump is expected to hold his first rally of 2019 in El Paso Texas on Monday night. This rally will come just days before the deadline for Congress to present a spending bill that includes sufficient funds to build the border wall. Many of Trump loving supporters are expected to be in El Paso on February 11th, but they aren’t only ones who will be there.
Beto O’Rourke is planning on giving a speech at the Chalio Acosta Sports Center which just happens to be right across the street from the El Paso County Coliseum where Trump will be holding his rally.
Beto O’Rourke is most known for his failed run for Senator against Texas Senator, Ted Cruz. Maybe he is still a little upset about the big loss and feels the need to “resist” Trump’s border wall rally.
This Trump rally will come just days after his SOTU speech where he said:
The border city of El Paso, Texas, used to have extremely high rates of violent crime — one of the highest in the country — and considered one of our nation’s most dangerous cities. Now, with a powerful barrier in place, El Paso is one of our safest cities.
Not only would the proposed border wall lessen the amount of illegal immigrants entering America, but it would also put an end to sex trafficking, drug trafficking and lessen the national crime rate.
So why does Beto feel the need to protest the border wall? If he truly cares about the wellbeing of his fellow Texan citizens, he would obviously support the wall. The only reason that far Left Democrats like Beto are opposed to Trump’s border wall is because they hate seeing the President succeed with his campaign promises. This is very sad considering top Democrats care more about their own pride than the safety of the American people.
Beto’s appearance in El Paso also raises the question of whether or not he will run for president in 2020. Check out what ABC had to say about this:
The 46-year-old O’Rourke has been candid about whether he is going to run for president in 2020. He sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey in New York on Tuesday in which he said he’d make a decision on running “before the end of the month.”
“For the last seven years, my family hasn’t seen me,” he said. “That’s the far more important responsibility.”
For the sake of Beto, he should probably not run for president considering President Trump’s approval rating is around 50%, only 2 years into his presidency. His only claim to fame is that he lost to Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate race. Pretty sad if you ask me!
